Bio

2024-2025: Last season, Cardez played a significant role for the Bears, participating in 22 games and starting in 6 of them. During this time, he scored a total of 123 points with 67 rebounds, 7 assists, 14 steals, and 6 blocked shots. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury just before the crucial stretch of the conference season, which curtailed his freshman year.

High School: Cardez “CD” Norman attended Sterlington High School, where he played under Head Coach Paul Glynn. Throughout his high school career, he earned numerous accolades, including being named the 2023 Beast of the Week, a 2023 Fast Break Entertainment All-Star, and the 2023 MVP. He was also recognized as a 2023 Showboat Classic All-Star and was selected for the 2023 LHSAA All-Star team. Additionally, he received honors that secured him spots on the 2023 All-State, 2023 All-Parish, and 2023 All-District teams.

Personal: CD is from Winfield, Louisiana, and is the son of Travis and Regina Mills. He has three brothers: Tyson, Armod, and Martavius. CD is also related to Carlos Funchess, a member of the Louisiana Basketball Hall of Fame, who currently serves as the head coach of the Southern University Women's Basketball team. His favorite athlete is LeBron James, and he supports the Los Angeles Lakers as his favorite professional team. CD enjoys pasta as his favorite food and honey buns as his favorite snack. He dreams of visiting Bora Bora one day and admires his mother for her ability to accomplish more than the average person.
