Bears dominate in second half for blowout victory over Aces!

The Baton Rouge Bears hosted the Baton Rouge Post Grad Academy Aces this evening at the Bonne Sante Wellness Center. The Bears relied on a strong second-half performance to defeat the Aces with a final score of 89-65.
The first half was a competitive battle between the two teams. In the opening minutes, both squads traded leads and baskets. At the 10-minute mark, the Bears held a slim four-point lead over the Aces, 18-14. Over the next five minutes, both teams fought hard, but neither was able to gain a clear advantage. The half featured four ties and four lead changes. However, the Bears tightened their defense in the final four minutes of the half, which improved their offensive flow. They ended the half on an 8-0 run, taking a ten-point lead into the locker room, 41-31.
In the second half, the Bears maintained their aggressive defensive pressure, keeping the Aces off balance. Key offensive contributions came from Jok Job and Amir Abdul-Rauf. Dylan Dominique and Noah Whitehead also played crucial roles in the Bears' offensive attack. With ten minutes remaining in the game, the Bears had built a 20-point lead at 66-46. Despite the Aces' efforts to close the gap, the Bears proved too strong, outscoring them 48-34 in the second half and securing a 89-65 non-conference victory.
Amir Abdul-Rauf led the Bears with a game-high 17 points off the bench. The Bears had three players in double figures: Abdul-Rauf, Noah Whitehead (12 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 assists), and Cardez Norman (11 points and 6 rebounds off the bench). The Aces were led by Donovan Perkins Jr., who scored 16 points. They also had three players in double figures: Perkins Jr., Brown, and Hardnett.
With this victory, the Bears improved to 8-12, while the Aces fell to 1-13-1 on the season. The Bears lead the all-time series against the Aces with 5 wins and 0 losses.
