Bears Dominate Crusaders !

The Baton Rouge Bears faced off against the William Carey Crusaders JV team this afternoon in the Bears' Den during their mini homestand. The Bears dominated the game from start to finish, securing a convincing 91-52 victory.
In the first half, the Bears quickly jumped to a 10-2 lead with 17 minutes remaining. They effectively executed their offensive strategies and got everyone involved in the game. Defensively, they limited the Crusaders to one shot per possession and created chaos on the court. By halftime, the Bears held a commanding 25-point lead, 42-17.
In the second half, the Bears continued to rotate players to provide everyone with playing time, and their offensive production remained consistent. Although the Crusaders found some momentum, hitting several three-pointers to keep pace, the Bears ultimately cleared their bench and finished strong with a 91-52 victory.
With this win, the Bears improved to 2-2 on the season. Cardez Norman led the Bears with 14 points, while Jaylin Shanks topped the Crusaders with 15 points.

- Cardez Norman: 14 points and 7 rebounds
- Chad Jones: 12 points and 4 steals
- Amir Abdul-Rauf: 11 points off the bench, connecting on 3 of 4 from three-point range
At halftime, the Mulecats held a basketball performance for the crowd in the Bears Den. Mulecat Athletics is based out of Livingston Parish in Holden, La. The Mulecats are a group of students with all abilities that come together to play and compete in various sports/activities. The theme for out basketball ministry is " Running the Court: " We all run on different courts in life and it is our goal that we will run the courts in heaven together for eternity with Jesus!
Next Up:
The Bears will continue their homestand with a doubleheader against Holmes Community College on Thursday, November 13. The women's game will tip off at 5:30 PM, followed by the men's game at 7:30 PM in the Bonne Sante Wellness Center.
