Bears dominate second half for blowout victory over Raiders!

The Baton Rouge Bears concluded their mini homestand against the Community Christian College Raiders from Houston, Texas, this afternoon at the Bonne Sante Wellness Center. The Bears pulled away early in the second half to defeat the Raiders with a score of 98-76.
In the first half, both teams battled for an advantage on both ends of the floor. In the initial eight minutes, the game featured two ties and four lead changes. With 12:41 remaining in the half, the Bears held a slim 19-18 lead. Neither team was able to establish a clear edge as they traded baskets until halftime. At the break, the Bears led by a narrow margin of 49-44.
The Bears came out of halftime with a different lineup and dominated inside play, fueled by Cardez Norman, Bryce Coleman, and Kentrell Freeman. They built a significant 24-point lead, 74-50, with 11 minutes remaining. Once they secured a comfortable lead, the Bears emptied their bench, giving every player the chance to contribute. Fifteen players participated in total, and all but one scored at least one point in the game. The final score was 98-76 in favor of the Bears.
Amir Abdul-Rauf led the Bears in scoring with 15 points. Four players finished with double-digit points: Amir Abdul-Rauf, Noah Toussaint, Bryce Coleman, and Kentrell Freeman. The Raiders' Daryl Adams was the high scorer of the game with 19 points, while Pichon and Cantave also scored in double figures for the Raiders.
With this victory, the Bears improved to 4-5 for the season and hold a 1-0 record against the Community Christian College Raiders.

The Bears will travel to Bossier City to participate in the Fourth Annual Decari Markray Classic hosted by Bossier Parish Community College on Monday, November 24, and Tuesday, November 25. The Bears will face the BPCC Cavs at 7:00 PM on Monday and the Navarro College Bulldogs at 11:00 AM on Tuesday.
