Bio

2024-2025: Chad played in 29 games for the Bears, starting in 9 of them. He scored a total of 107 points, 88 rebounds, 17 assists, 11 steals, and blocked 8 shots. Chad was an asset during the Bears' 2025 LCCAC championship and their journey to the Region 23 quarterfinals.

High School: Chad "CJayy" Jones attended St. Thomas More Catholic High School, where he played basketball under Head Coach Danny Broussard. His Cougars team won three district championships. Chad received several prestigious recognitions, including being named to the Country Day Classic All-Tournament Team in 2022, the Sunkist All-Tournament Team in 2021, 2022, and 2023, Second Team All-District in 2022, First Team All-Metro in 2023, and Second Team All-Acadiana in 2022. He was also honored as the MVP of the Country Day Classic in 2023. The Cougars were the state runners-up in basketball in 2024.

Personal: Chad is from Morgan City, Louisiana. He is the son of Chad Jones and Heather West and has three sisters—Carly, Chelsea, and Navaeh—and two brothers, Chase and Chance. His cousin, Shawn Long, played basketball at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and holds the career record for double-doubles. Chad is currently attending BRCC and majoring in Computer Science. One day, he would like to visit Dubai. His favorite athlete is Kevin Durant, and his favorite food is Chicken Alfredo. He admires his mother for her hard work and dedication.
