Friday, October 31, 2025: Men's Basketball
The BRCC Bears opened their 2025-26 season on the road in the Raiders Classic against the East Mississippi Community College Lions. Unfortunately, the Bears suffered a significant loss, falling 79-46 to the Lions. At halftime, the Bears were trailing 40-17.
In the second half, the Bears showed some improvement, scoring 29 points, but it was not enough to overcome the large deficit from the first half. The team was led in scoring by redshirt freshman Amir Abdul-Rauf and sophomore Chad Jones, who each contributed 10 points. Sophomore transfer Bryce Coleman added 7 points.
The Bears will conclude their road trip this afternoon with a matchup against the host team, Northwest Florida State College Raiders, at 5:30 PM.
