Bio
Tronayia “Nae” Issac begins her first season as the BRCC Women’s Basketball Player Development Coach and returns for her second stint on Coach Lee’s coaching staff. Nae previously served as an assistant coach during the 2022-2023 season. She was a standout player for the Baton Rouge Lady Bears, starting her career with the team in the 2018-2019 season after an impressive athletic career at Lafayette Christian High School. While playing for the LCA Lady Knights, she was part of three state championship teams.
During her first season at BRCC, Nae played in 27 games, finishing her freshman campaign with 190 points, 97 rebounds, 25 assists, 21 steals, and 4 blocks. Unfortunately, she was sidelined during her sophomore year by a medical issue that kept her out for the entire season. She returned in 2020-2021, playing in 19 games for the Lady Bears and continuing her dominant post play. Nae earned a scholarship to pursue her academic and athletic career at Mobile University; however, personal family issues prevented her from fully committing to that opportunity.
In the 2022-2023 season, she joined Coach Lee’s staff, primarily focusing on developing post players and assisting in recruiting. After taking a few years off from coaching to manage personal family matters, she is back to share her experiences and help develop the Lady Bears student-athletes both on and off the court.
Tronayia resides in Lafayette, Louisiana, where she cares for her brother, Trilon. She is continuing her education at Chipola College, where she plans to earn a degree in psychology and support the youth.
