The new year has not gone well for the Lady Bears. Their shots wil not fall and BRCC has been held under sixty points in five games, culminating with tonight's 49 point offensive output in the loss to Holmes. Baton Rouge finds themselves 6-12 on the season, facing a two week break before conference season begins.
Bear Notes:
- Celica Sterling scored 14 points to lead the team in scoring.
- Amber Smith added nine; shooting 7 of 8 from the free throw line.
- The Lady Bears finished 12 of 20 from the charity stripe.
- Pearl Jones, Sterling and Smith each grabbed six rebounds.
- BRCC was outrebounded 35-32 by Holmes, giving up 12 offensive rebounds.
- Baton Rouge committed 18 turnovers in the loss.
BRCC will travel to LSU-Eunice on Wednesday, January 27th to begin Louisiana Community College Atheltic Conference play. Game time is set for 6:00 pm.
