Lady Bears come up short against visiting Roxbury

Baton Rouge CC lost to Roxbury CC (NY) on Wednesday night 51-50. It is the fourth straight loss for BRCC to start the new year. The Lady Bears are 6-11 on the season. 

Bear Notes:

• Three players notched double-figures in the loss, each contributing 12 points: Terriel Ross, Doneisha Young and Celica Sterling.
• Ariane Addison fouled out, but scored 8 points in the defeat. 
• Pearl Jones battled foul trouble all night, picking up her fourth early in the third quarter. 
• The Lady Bears made three-three point field goals during the game, one in the final seconds.
• BRCC only managed to get to the free throw line six times, shooting 50%.
• Roxbury shot 26 free throws, making 15.

BRCC is back in action on Thursday afternoon when they host Holmes Community College for an afternoon doubleheader. Game time is set for 12:00 pm.
