Bio
Matt Prysock begins his second season as an assistant coach on the Baton Rouge Community College softball coaching staff. In this role, Coach Prysock will handle day-to-day administrative duties and will work closely with Head Coach Bolton to support the development and growth of the Bears softball student-athletes.
Originally from Benton, Arkansas, Matt graduated from Centenary College in Shreveport, Louisiana, with degrees in Health and Exercise Science and Business Administration. While in college, he played baseball. After graduating, he served as the Assistant Softball Coach at Ranger Junior College in Ranger, Texas, where he also acted as the head Women's Basketball Coach, leading the team to its first winning season in over a decade.
Matt returned to Centenary College, where he worked as an assistant coach for the NCAA Division I Centenary Softball Team under Coach Michael Bastian. At the young age of 22, he became the head coach, making him the youngest NCAA Division I college coach across all sports at that time. Following his time at Centenary, Coach Prysock transitioned to the University of Central Arkansas as an assistant coach before starting a corporate career with Allergan Medical in Dallas.
During his tenure in Texas, he held marketing positions with notable sports teams such as the NBA's Dallas Mavericks, the NHL's Dallas Stars, and the MLS's Dallas Burn (now FC Dallas). Additionally, he contributed as a volunteer at Baylor University.
After his time with Allergan Medical, Coach Prysock returned to the softball coaching world, serving as the assistant coach at the University of Rich Mountain during the 2024 season. He was named the Head Coach of Southeast Arkansas College in July 2024, but unfortunately, the program could not complete the full 2025 season due to injuries that limited their roster size.
