Lady Bears to play four games in Mardi Gras Invitational

The Lady Bears will travel to Youngsville, Louisiana to take part in the 2026 Mardi Gras Tournament on Thursday, January 29 and Friday, January 30. 

Youngsville Sports Complex.

  • The last meeting between the two teams was February 27, 2025 in Baton Rouge. The Lady Bears and Lady Warriors split the day with the Lady Warriors winning game one 5-4 and the Lady Bears winning game two 5-4. 

 

Hinds Community College: 

  • Hinds lead the overall series with 10 wins and 6 losses over Baton Rouge. 

  • These two teams first meet on February 13, 2019. The Lady Eagles would win game one 7-6 and the Lady Bears would win game two 7-5 

  • The last meeting between the two teams was February 14, 2025, in Raymond. The Lady Eagle split with the Lady Bears with Hinds winning game one 5-0 and the Lady Bears winning game two 4-3. 

 

Southwest Mississippi Community College: 

  • The All-time series is tied with both clubs winning 18 games. 

  • These two teams first meet on April 13, 2012. Baton Rouge won game one 5-1 and Southwest won game two 4-0 

  • The last meeting between the two teams was February 13, 2025, in Summit, MS. The Lady Bears swept the Southwest Mississippi Lady Bears 14-9 and 14-8. 

 

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College: 

  • Mississippi Gulf Coast holds the overall series record with 17 wins and 6 losses over Baton Rouge. 

  • These two teams first meet on February 8, 2012. The Lady Bulldogs swept the Bears 6-1 and 5-1 

  • The last meeting between the two teams was on March 5, 2025, in Baton Rouge. The Lady Bears swept the Lady Bulldogs 6-1 and 4-3.

The Lady Bears will travel to Bossier City to make up their games against the Bossier Parish Cavaliers on Monday, February 2, 2026. Game times are 1 & 3 pm at BPCC Softball Facility.
