Walk-Off in Bottom of 7th Propels Lady Bears to First Ever Win Over LSU-E
BRCC took Tuesday's game in dramatic fashion, with a 7-6 walk-off victory over LSU-E. The game was tied at six with BRCC batting in the bottom of the seventh when Alara Taylor doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run. This was the Lady Bears first ever victory over LSU-E in program.
BRCC collected eight hits and LSU-E had six in the high-scoring affair.
BRCC took an early lead in the second inning. Jennifer Ipson's sac fly scored one run for BRCC.
Kristyn Lormand got the win for BRCC. Lormand surrendered three runs on three hits over five and two-thirds innings, striking out one.
Shepard took the loss for LSU-E. The pitcher surrendered two runs on four hits over three and a third innings, striking out two and walking one.
