Lady Bears Sweep Lamar Port Arthur to Claim School Record 8th Consecutive Win!

Game 1

BRCC defeated Lamar Port Arthur 10-6 on Monday after taking the lead late in the game.  The game was tied at six with BRCC batting in the top of the sixth when Emma McCormick doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

 There was plenty of action on the basepaths as BRCC collected nine hits and Lamar Port Arthur had six.

 BRCC fired up the offense in the second inning.  Cierra Treigle drove in two when Treigle doubled.

 Lamar Port Arthur knotted the game up at six in the bottom of the fifth inning.  An error scored one run for Lamar Port Arthur.

 Lamar Port Arthur scored three runs in the fifth inning.  M Kerr and S Trahan all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

 Marley Olivier was the winning pitcher for BRCC. The righthander allowed six hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out two and walking zero.

 L Rozell toed the rubber for Lamar Port Arthur. Rozell allowed zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out one and walking zero.  Z Brice threw six innings in relief.

 BRCC hit one home run on the day. Jennifer Ipson went for the long ball in the second inning.

 BRCC racked up nine hits on the day.  Madison Diaville and McCormick all managed multiple hits for BRCC.  McCormick and Diaville all had two hits to lead BRCC.

Game 2

Macy Castleman shut down Lamar Port Arthur, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Baton Rouge Community College to a 9-0 victory on Monday

Baton Rouge Community College secured the victory thanks to six runs in the fifth inning. Molly Sistrunk, Kristyn Lormand, and Laine Sullivan all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Baton Rouge Community College put up six runs in the fifth inning. Sistrunk, Lormand, and Sullivan all drove in runs in the frame.

A single by A Rojas in the third inning was a positive for Lamar Port Arthur.

Castleman was the winning pitcher for Baton Rouge Community College. The righty went five innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out four and walking one.

A Armstrong was in the pitcher's circle for Lamar Port Arthur. The pitcher surrendered eight runs on six hits over four and a third innings. #17 threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Baton Rouge Community College smacked one home run on the day. Sistrunk went yard in the fifth inning.
