Lady Bears Split Double Header with Hinds CC

Baton Rouge Community College cruised to an easy victory over Hinds CC 10-1 on Monday in the first game of the double header.

In the first inning, Baton Rouge Community College got their offense started. Baton Rouge Community College scored one run when Jennifer Ipson singled.

Macy Castleman pitched Baton Rouge Community College to victory. Castleman went five and a third innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out two. Marley Olivier threw two-thirds of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Calloway led things off in the circle for Hinds CC. The bulldog went six innings, allowing ten runs on seven hits and striking out three.

Baton Rouge Community College socked one home run on the day. Molly Sistrunk had a homer in the sixth inning.

Baton Rouge Community College had seven hits in the game. Ipson and Stevie Credeur all had multiple hits for Baton Rouge Community College. Credeur and Ipson all had two hits to lead Baton Rouge Community College.

Baton Rouge Community College watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 4-3 loss to Hinds CC on Monday in the second game of the double header.

Hinds CC scored on a single by Estis in the second inning.

In the second inning, Hinds CC got their offense started when Estis singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Myers toed the rubber for Hinds CC. The fireballer went six innings, allowing one run on four hits and striking out four.

Kristyn Lormand led things off on the rubber for Baton Rouge Community College. Lormand allowed seven hits and four runs over six innings, striking out three and walking one.

Bella Bishop led Baton Rouge Community College with two hits in three at bats.

Papizan went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Hinds CC in hits. Hinds CC didn't commit a single error in the field. Seiferd had the most chances in the field with seven.
