Bio

2017-2018:  Shelby was our primary thrid basemen last season for the Lady Bears.  She played in 27 games. Shelby racked up 18 hits, 8 doubles, 12 RBIs and 4 walks.  She batted .225 on the season.

High School: Shelby attended Bowling Green High School where she played softball for Coach Meghan Dyer and Berry Seal.  She was named to the MAIS all star team and was named 1 st team all district.  Her team finished 2 nd in district, 3rd South State and 3rd in State during her four years at Bowling Green.  She also played basketball and ran track.  She was a member of the Beta club while at Bowling Green High School. 

 

Personal: Her hometown is Franklinton, Louisiana.  She is the daughter of Karen and Todd McDonald.  She has two brothers Caleb and Jacob.  Her mother Karen played basketball in college.  She is studying Education at BRCC and would like to become and coach and a teacher.   The reason why she chose BRCC was it was close to home and she could play softball. Her college athletic goal is to win a national championship.
