Wednesday March 16, 2022: Men's Basketball

The All-Conference team has been selected by the conference coaches and was announced today.  Baton Rouge Community College Bears placed three student athletes on conference teams. 

Returning Freshman Guard from Dallas, Jayhlon Young was named to the All-Conference first team. Jayhlon is a returning freshman from Garland High School. JY started all nine conference games for the Bears. He scored 142 points with 63 rebounds, 29 assist, 16 steals and 6 blocks. Jayhlon was the go to guy on the floor this season for Coach Green's team. He was a quite leader that led by example.

Reginald Gause, a freshman forward from Covington was named to the All-Conference second team.  Reggie was a transfer from Jones College.  He played in all nine conference games where he scored 100 points with 52 rebounds, 10 assist, 7 steals and 4 blocks. Reggie was a spark plug off the bench for the Bears.  Reggie was a sharp shooter that could make a shot from anywhere on the floor. 

Darian Pierce Jr. , a sophomore guard from White Castle was named to the All-Comference honorable mention team. DJ was a transfer from Texas Wesleyan University. He played in all nine conference games where he scored 63 points with 26 rebounds, 15 assist and 11 steals. DJ was a great leader on and off the floor for Coach Green's team this season.
