Bears to finish regular season at home against the Delgado Dolphins

The Bears and the Dolphins collide on the diamond in a four-game conference series on April 30- May 2 in Baton Rouge to conclude LCCAC regular season play. This is also Alumni Weekend where we will welcome back all former Bears to Pete Goldsby Field.  Sophomore day will be Saturday, May 2 as we honor 21 baseball student athletes for their hard work and dedication to the program over the past two seasons.

Thursday April 30, 2026- Game Time 6:00 pm- 1 nine innings 

Friday May 1, 2026- Game Times 1 & 4 pm- two seven innings 

Saturday May 2, 2026- Game Time 1 pm- nine inning 

  

Games will be played at Pete Goldsby Field

  • Baton Rouge: 5-47, 1-19 ( missing 1 game)

Last Time Out  

  • Baton Rouge played at Pearl River Community College on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. The Bears lost 16-1 in 7 innings to the #1 Pearl River Wildcats.

  • Delgado Community College played at LSUE on April 24-26 in a four-game conference series.  The Dolphins went 1-4 on the weekend. The Bengals won game one 12-2 in five innings, game three 12-9 and game four 13-3 in 5 innings. The Dolphins won game two 6-5.

History Between Teams  

  • Delgado leads the overall series with 101 wins and 36 losses over Baton Rouge.  

  • These two teams first meet on March 25, 2005, when the Dolphins would win game one 7-4, and the Bears would win game two 3-2.  

  • The last meeting between the two teams was April 12, 2026, when the Dolphins defeated the Bears 8-4 in New Orleans.
