Baton Rouge Bears to conclude season series at Southwest Mississippi

Bears Baseball is set to travel to Summit, Mississippi to take on the Southwest Mississippi Bears for the third time this season. 

The first Pitch is set for 6 pm

Last Time Out  

  • Baton Rouge played a four-game series with the Harvester Bees from Dallas College Eastfield on March 20 and 21 at Pete Goldsby Field. The Bees won three games by the scores of 16-6,9-2 and 6-4. The Bears won one game 3-2. 

  • Southwest Mississippi played Holmes Community College on March 21, 2026, in Summit. The Bears swept the Bulldog 6-2 and 14-5

History Between Teams  

  • Baton Rouge leads the all-time series record with 27 wins and 18 losses. This will be the 40th meeting between the two ball clubs.  

  • These two teams first meet on February 19, 2005, when the two teams split up a doubleheader. Southwest Mississippi won game one 7-4 and Baton Rouge won game two 11-4.  

  • The last meeting between the two teams was February 23, 2026, at UNO. Southwest Mississippi defeated Baton Rouge 10-7
