The Harvester Bees put a run on the board in the first inning thanks to some walks and stolen bases. He scored on a wild pitch, marking the Bears' first run of the game. Jay Stelly followed, hitting a single to left field, which allowed Hudson Heltz to score on a subsequent single up the middle. After four innings, the Bears trailed 6-2.
Eastfield extended their lead with two more runs in the top of the fifth, making it 8-2, before adding an insurance run in the sixth to finalize the score at 9-2. The Bears were retired in order in the sixth and seventh innings.
