2019-2020: Karius played in 15 games in the outfielder, for the Bears, during the COVID-19 shorten season.  He had 24 AB, 2Runs, 2 Hits and 4 stolen bases.

High School: Karius "KJ" attended Cecilia High School, where he played baseball for Head Coach Jamie Calais.  During his senior year, his Bulldogs team went 26-9.  KJ had a .471 batting average with 2 homeruns and 24 doubles.  His bulldogs’ teams were a 2-time All-District Runner Up.  He was named to the All District Team, as an Outfielder four times, All-State team, as an outfielder, three times and played in the LBCA All-Star Game. Karius was Salutatorian, and Class Vice President.  He was a member of the National Beta Club and the National Honors Society, where he was vice-president.

Personal: Hometown is Cecilia, Louisiana.  He is the son of Kevin Joseph and Mona Gordon.  He has two siblings, 1 sister Kali and 1 brother, Kayhale. BRCC Major is Chemical Engineer. His favorite food is Wings from Wing stop and his favorite movie is the Pursuit of Happiness. The person he admires the most is GOD because he has always been there for him even when things were not going well. His favorite athlete is Leonard Fournette, and his favorite pro team is the Jacksonville Jaguars.
