Baton Rouge picks up a much need conference win over the Delgado Dolphins tonight in the Wellness Center 64 to 34. Despite a first quarter deficient, of 10-12, that would be the only time the Lady Bears would trail in this match-up. BRCC outscored Delgado 21 to 6 in the second quarter to take a commanding lead into halftime. At the half, the score was Lady Bears 31 and Delgado 18. BRCC kept its foot on the gas pedal in the second half and did not let up both on the offensive nor defensive side of the ball. The Lady Bears outscored the Lady Dolphins in the second half 33 to 16. Delgado was held to only 5 points in the third quarter and 11 points in the fourth quarter. It was a total team effort for the bears. All Lady Bears scored a least one point in tonight's game. Even though Delgado had the Bears leading scoring, Celica Sterling frustrated all night long, other Lady Bears stepped their game up, to take some of the pressure off Celica.
