Softball Wins Three of Four Games Last Weekend in Alabama

BRCC traveled to Alabama this past weekend to play Lurleen B. Wallace Community College on Saturday and Enterprise State Community College on Sunday. After falling in the first game of the weekend, the Lady Bears won three straight games to improve their season record to 6-5.

BRCC lost to Wallace Community College 9-8 in eight innings to start Saturday. Game two would see strong pitching performances Kassi Rojas and Sydnee McCall. Combined, the duo allowed two runs and BRCC grabbed the win 7-2.

On Sunday, the Lady Bears would defeat Enterprise State by run rule in both games. The first game last six innings and ended with a 12-1 victory. Game two was over in five innings with BRCC securing a 10-1 win. 

Bria White and Virginia Cacioppo knocked in three RBI's each in game one. Included in those numbers, was a two-run home run for Cacioppo. 

the bat of Cacioppo stayed hot in game two when she contributed four more RBI's to the cause. Alyssa Bush had three RBI's in the win.

BRCC is at home on Wednesday, February 8th to host Southwest Mississippi Community College. The first game is scheduled to start at 3:00 pm.
