Bears Win Third Straight

Baton Rouge held on Saturday afternoon to defeat Lawson State Community College 76-61. The win is the third straight for the Bears, dating back to mid-December, and improves the season record to 9-9.

BRCC continued to shoot the ball well from behind the arc, notching nine, three pointers during the game. Demetrius Fitzpatrick hit four to lead the way and finished the game with 12 points.

Even with all the hot shooting from downtown, the men in the middle led the way for Baton Rouge today. Erik Thomas and Beka Zedelashvili combined for thirty-seven of the teams seventy-six points, including 25 from Thomas.

Baton Rouge hits the road after today's win. BRCC will travel to Holmes Community College on Thursday, January 15th for a men's and women's doubleheader. The Bears then head to Alabama for a rematch with Lawson State next Saturday afternoon.
