BRCC struggled to produce offense in game one. The Bears scattered six hits during the seven inning contest and were held scoreless for the majority of the afternoon. Trailing by six runs entering the Bears' half of the sixth inning, the offense plated five runs and trailed 6-5 before the final inning. Gulf Coast added an insurance run in the seventh inning and the 7-5 lead would prove to be the final score.
Game two was a different story. BRCC dug themselves an early hole by allowing MGCCC three runs in the first. Shortly there after the hits began and the runs were plentiful. Devin Bailey started the rally with a single in the first. He would score when Nicholas Morgan tripled to left field. Morgan would later score and the Bears trailed 3-2 after one inning. The Bears exploded for eight runs in the third inning. Adam Nelson brought home two runs with a single to tie the game 4-4. Later in the inning, McKay Mouton would launch a 3-run home run over the left field wall to give Baton Rouge a 8-4 lead. Still batting in the third inning, Mark Traylor bounced a double off the left field wall scoring two more runs. After it was all over, Baton Rouge went from trailing by two runs to a six-run lead at 10-4. BRCC wasn't done there. The bottom of the fourth inning began with three straight singles by Nicolas Ber, Corey Free and Kevin Vanasselberg. After a Gulf Coast pitching change, BRCC scored two runs on two wild pitches. The Bears added a third run with a sacrifice fly off the bat of Bailey. After six innings, Baton Rouge led 13-4. The final run would come quickly in the fifth inning. Nelson and Ber reached base on back to back singles. Then, to end the game, Free hit a walk-off double to left field. BRCC won 14-4.
